I'm giving this a 5% possibility
of happening at the moment.
Other successes need to happen first.
Nonetheless I like to project
my vision out there for
potential investors to see
where this enterprise may be heading.
This all began because I wanted
to build the Crystal Pyramid.
I knew that the pyramid alone
would not be enough of an
attraction to support itself.
Then I heard about this hotel in Miami
owned and operated by the guys
of Studio 54 New York fame.
They were NPR talking about
how hotels can afford to offer
offbeat attractions, talking about
their human chess board.
Actual people
being used as chess parts.
So I first began with my NewAgeHotel
concept for supporting the pyramid.
Then later changed it to an
RV Park and Campground.
Then I added other attractions
that I've come to appreciate over
the years that enhanced my meditations.
So here we are.
Then I added the restaurant and lounge.
and then I thought that
if I have a lounge,
we need a house band.
For the pool-bar too!
So here we are.
Then I decided
"Heck I might as well go the
whole nine yards with this."
and so we now have the
FreakieFriesMusicalRevue
concept shown below.
Music publishing is very lucrative.
Please allow me to share some anecdotes
to prove my point.
1
It made the news back in the nineties
when The Doors turned down
a fifteen million dollar deal
with General Motors who wanted
to use one of their hit songs for
a commercial campaign.
2
Paul Anka was earning
100k a year for his
intro music for Johnny Carson's
Tonight Show back
when 100k was worth quite a bit
more than today.
Probably 500k a year in today's dollars.
3
Whitney Houston famously complained
on TV about how her monster hit
'I Will Always Love You'
was generating unfairly great
amounts of royalties to the
writer of the song, Dolly Parton.
And so as previously mentioned,
building from the development
of the house band
for the restaurant, lounge,
and pool bar,
led me to expand beyond to this concept
of the FreakiefriesMusicalRevue.
Please allow me
to share a little background
about myself to really understand
why I'm thinking this way.
From the age of ten,
and lasting for fifteen years,
I had been witnessing
the entrepreneurial aspect of music
that my older brothers engaged in.
Starting with The Blues Tempos,
then The Soulmates,
then The Marble Glass,
which spawned Gino Vaneli.
And then there was peripheral
involvement with Michel Pagliaro,
Walter Rossi, Andy Kim, the Archies,
Moon Quake with Jack Geisinger,
Johnny Hagopian, Ellio.
And then back to
older brother's band, Motivation,
and finally the house band
at the Neptune Inn lounge.
Over that time I've come to know
quite a few musicians and some promoters,
Donald K Donald Promotions
which I actually applied for a job
there when I was nineteen years old.
Also I had aspirations to learn
recording engineering back then.
Also to be a roadie for traveling bands.
so it's been in my DNA
for some time now.
I never thought I'd be
back to these aspirations
albeit at a producer level, and at
seventy years old but here we are.
The FreakieFries Musical Revue
is a concept where
several different bands are developed.
By providing a place for musicians
and vocalists, free room and board,
to practice both solo
and in concert with others,
providing a setting where relationships
are formed with others in their field,
providing all the musical equipment
and state of the art recording facilities,
they not only learn their craft,
developing lifelong relationships
with others in the process,
but they also learn the craft
of communicating their music
to the world with
sound engineering capabilities.
Every vocalist and musician
will have to write one song
a month as part of the deal.
Songwriting is a chicken and egg vortex.
By forcing them to write,
they eventually develop good
writing skills and ideas.
Eventually it becomes a flywheel
that goes on it's own momentum.
We split potential royalties
50% to them and 50% to the house.
They are free to go their own way
anytime they want but the songs
they wrote while in the
house remains at 50/50.
The house will be actively
promoting these songs
to the current global roster
of recording artists and movie makers.
My deal is to develop several bands
to go across the country
and the world playing clubs
and other venues depending
on ticket sales.
There will be fusion of
many international musical genres.
Every possible intsrument will be played.
They will play nightly
at the lounge and daily
at the poolside bar.
A full time booking agent
will scour the globe for business.
My musicians and vocalists
learn Transcendental Meditation,
and some might find the TM Sidhis appealing.
They will use all of the
meditation enhancing tools
at the Crystal Pyramid RV Park
and Campground.
These are powerful tools for creativity.
All creative talent is owned
by the FreakieFries Musical Revue
until such time that musicians
decide to strike out on their own.
Some might just stay on forever.
Should prove to be very
profitable for all concerned.
Music still remains big business.
As previously stated,
some songs we develop may
actually bring good returns.
